About The Therapy

Living between cultures isn't only about language โ€” it's about which version of yourself shows up for which room, and the loneliness of being not-quite-fluent in any of them. The work is relational and unhurried, and respects how much code-switching you've already done to get here.

Paras brings her own immigrant lens to the room. The conversation doesn't need a glossary โ€” and it doesn't ask you to translate your grief, your gratitude, or your complicated feelings about home.

Is this right for you?

  • You're navigating family expectations across cultural lines
  • You feel "too much" of one culture and "not enough" of the other
  • You're carrying things your parents survived but never spoke about
  • You're queer, religious, secular, or otherwise navigating intersecting identities
  • You want a therapist who won't need a glossary

Meet Your Therapist.

Paras Geramian, Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying). A relational practice working in Brampton and across Ontario โ€” drawing from psychodynamic, mindfulness-based, and somatic traditions. The room is warm, honest, and unhurried, and the pace is yours.

โ“ Questions

Frequently Asked Questions.

If yours isn't here, send a short note โ€” we'll get back to you within two business days.

Do I have to be a recent immigrant? โŒ„
No. Many clients are second-generation, or are navigating cultural identity at any life stage.
Will we have to discuss my family? โŒ„
Often, yes โ€” but only when and how you want. Nothing is forced.
What if my parents don't believe in therapy? โŒ„
That's not unusual. Your work in the room is yours; you decide what to share outside it.
Can we talk in something other than English? โŒ„
Sessions are in English. If language access is a barrier, we'll help connect you to resources.
